Leica Reel

This is my final project of the semester for storyboarding class. If I could fix one thing it would be to add more animation movements~ I think I was too ambitious with this, and didn't give enough time for certain sequences to play out :/ Especially when the two kids are flying in the air, I really wanted to extend that for a bit and get them into some crazy hijinks with power lines and airplanes and stuff, but I was running out of time so I had to cut it short :( Oh well, please enjoy!

So I ended up watching the movie TWICE, lol. Best damn superhero flick ever! XD The Joker totally stole the show, but Harvey Dent stole my heart! (hawhaw lamest line ever *shoots self*) *Spoilers, highlight to read* Such a tragic character T^T Wish he'd come back in the third film, if they ever make one... I'm so depressed they killed him off. Or did they?? 'Cuz I did some snooping around the net and some people are speculating that he didn't die and they faked the whole funeral, and he was instead shipped off to Arkham Asylum. I really hope so. We need more Two-Face, definitely! *End of spoilers*

Photoshop 7. Er... I don't know how to draw metal surfaces, clearly >> Practice, practice... One of my favourite parts of the movie was when Iron Man fired a chest beam at the Iron Monger, and I suddenly thought "CARE BEAR STARE!!" Lmao~

Damn~ I pulled an all-nighter finishing this to hand in today, but the stupid school print shop won't gimme the print until tomorrow. What a waste 8( Man I'm tired...

Done in Painter IX. Graah~ This is so not my original concept ><>> Everything seems so much paler on it... so forgive me if I blind you guys... Damn damn damn I just can't seem to get the hang of painting! Everything I produce seems so forced, and the elements and colours don't seem to harmonize at all and wth is with the weird light source aaaaaaaa *brain melts*

Head Turn/Lip Sync Assignment

Previous animation assignment, where we choose an existing character and animate a head turn accompanied by a lip sync (audio provided by instructors =_= yea...). I decided to do Dean from The Iron Giant, which by the way is my all-time favourite animated feature <3

Done once again in digital tools class in Painter :P I started colouring this, but gave up. Ah man, the monitors in the computer lab are pretty messed up! 8( The colours looked fine on the computer there, but when I brought it home everything was all dark and muddy. Graah, and I don't feel like messing around with the colour balance or the levels, 'cause I'll probably never get it the same colour as I originally intended it to be. 8( So..ya. Not finishing this anytime soon.

UPDATE: Wow, so I finally got around to finishing that Ema & Trucy pic, even though I said I wouldn't 8) Change of heart I guess?


Some Girly Guy

Playing around with ArtRage at the moment :3 It's pretty nifty; like Painter without the extra crap! I like the different textured surfaces you can draw on too. Anyway, I guess this is like, what, a 'faux' pencil sketch? Haha~ If only real-life pencils came with an undo button :<

...with life drawings! 80 Maaan, 3 weeks of doing absolutely nothing really messed up my drawing abilities XD At least they're easing us back into work at school though~ Not much pressure other than that scary bone test everyone's freaking out about (including me), which reminds me I'd better study some more...
